Business Development Executive

The role

As a Business Development Executive, you will be driving the growth of YouGov Vietnam’s business, offering our exciting and innovative products and solutions to our clients. You will work closely with your line manager to generate new business for Vietnam.

As a core member of the Business Development team, you will be working towards reaching an individual target, you will do this by:

  • Actively identify new potential customers to sell our innovative data products and solutions
  • Proactively prospecting, identifying, qualifying, and exploring new potential business opportunities through social platforms, cold calling, emails, and networking
  • In charge of your personal target and take ownership in achieving the set-target
  • Process all qualified leads generated by marketing campaigns: email follow-up with the construction of suitable content
  • Send the appropriate prospecting emails by creating the relevant content
  • Prepare presentations of our solutions to potential clients
  • Book appointments for the BD team and organize them professionally
  • Participate in the meeting and capture key discussion points
  • Ensure that all sales activities are recorded and tracked in our CRM system
  • Work closely with your line manager to generate end-to-end solutions and close the deals (eg. Prepare a proposal, follow-up emails)
  • Represent YouGov in a professional and ethical manner at all times
  • Be up to date with the latest topics and major industry events

What do I need to bring?

Demonstrated knowledge and experience

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in sales and/or lead qualification (including
  • outbound prospecting)
  • Experience with lead qualification at all levels within organizations – managers, directors, VPs, executives
  • Experience in market research/data-centric companies is a plus
  • Self-disciplined, able to organize & prioritize work according to objectives and demonstrate independence
  • A “Hunter” attitude to getting new business
  • Able to deal with pushback and rejections from prospects
  • Effective Communicator. You are clear and persuasive in both verbal and written Vietnamese and English communications with effective use of email and phone
  • Interest in marketing strategies, able to dig into Market Research and why clients need it
  • Work comfortably in a team of other sales professionals and market researchers

Technical skills and qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related disciplines is preferable
