Job Description:

Do you wish you could just get paid to play with clothes and write about them all day? Well, we’ve got the job for you. With over 30 store locations and a globally marketed website, AKIRA is the fashionista’s favorite place to shop.

I’m sure you know by now, but we’re looking to swipe right on the perfect 10 copywriter to add to our team. If you’re a creative, fashion-minded copywriter – come join our web team! Your role as our copywriter will be to work closely with our marketing and merchant teams to build and create engaging, cute descriptions for each new beautiful product that hits the digital shelves of It’s a fast-paced role, so buckle up.

Our ideal candidate is focused, great at meeting deadlines, has excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and is extremely detail-oriented. You must have an understanding of women’s fashion terminology, obviously. (Mock neck, a-line, flatform, etc). There’s also a little science to it, so SEO knowledge/background (any at all) is a huge bonus star for you, my friend. All candidates must have excellent grammar and spelling.

Onto the good stuff, what you’ll be doing on a regular basis:

  • Building new product descriptions on site
  • Generating other web content while maintaining the AKIRA voice (which is, like, fun & witty)
  • Brainstorming content ideas with the team for email content
  • Writing for our blog
  • Looking for a good meme or GIF to stick in office emails

Required experience:

  • Love fashion and writing!

  • Associates
