Degree Apprenticeship Training Coordinator (Apprenticeship Assessor)

The Faculty of Environment and Technology, in partnership with educational providers across the South West, makes an active contribution to transforming the region and its skilled workforce. Our apprenticeship provision in the Faculty enjoys positive partnerships with a wide range of regional colleges and employers.

About you:

We are looking to appoint a new member of the team with up to date experience in engineering and/or built environment Standards to organise and undertake tripartite (employer, apprentice and assessor) assessments and to provide progress reports in line with University and governmental policies.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have a high level of experience of different aspects of degree apprenticeship, both on operation and quality assurance e.g. pre- assessment, creating training plans and assessing the progress of each apprentice, working closely with academic team and employers. Knowledge of off-the-job training and funding rules is essential. Applicants must additionally hold a recognised assessor qualification (or experience) and have an understanding of undergraduate and postgraduate degree apprenticeship and their differences from Level 3, 4 and 5 qualifications.

Successful candidates will have a high level of insight into degree apprenticeship and endpoint assessment requirements, End-Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs) and Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRB).
