Job Duties and Responsibilities

– Ensure the full range of works required are successfully executed to complete the projects, such as design, regulatory, specialist works, building, equipment, fit out, interior works, operational equipment, furnishings and IT systems.

– Manage and/or direct external consultants, specialists, contractors, vendors, planners, authorities, operators and any other related persons/firms in support of the above works.

– Collaborate with a team of professionals in charge of full range of activities including procurement, package planning, design, cost planning, construction management and environmental management.

– Manage the projects by providing support and guidance on the following areas:

  • Review of project schedule, quality and cost deliverables.
  • Regular updating and reporting of project progress and performance.
  • Value engineering and management.
  • Feasibility studies, risk analysis evaluation and mitigation planning.
  • Ensuring quality and proper construction techniques and implementation.
  • Health, Safety & Environment, scheduling and risk management matters.
  • Documentation and administration.

– Provide management on the following areas:

  • Provide directions and instructions on project matters, including change management.
  • Oversee project Key Performance Indicators, including budget control.
  • Manage design and ensure compliance to management’s approved brief.
  • Ensure project compliance, fulfilment of regulatory requirements and process adherence.
  • Review, develop and manage project implementation process flows.
  • Resolve all project issues, including dispute resolution.
  • Ensure all stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations.
  • Provide regular updates, reports, recommendations and analysis to management.
  • Manage defects and outstanding works upon completion.
  • Ensure smooth handover and transition of projects upon completion.

Job Requirements

– At least Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Architecture or Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with recognised SISV or Board of Engineers/Architects accreditation.

– Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience.

– Experience in the following areas:

  • Managing mixed-developments, attractions, museums, hotels, zoos, theme parks, multi-use complexes or similar projects.
  • Managing projects in the capacity of Project Manager/Director or Project Architect/Engineer (as contractor or consultant) of at least S$100 million and above or as part of a team managing such projects of S$200 million and above.
  • Managing projects of significant value and complexity as Superintending Officer (SO), SO representative, Architect (in SIA form), or lead contract or package administrator.
  • Private and public sector infrastructure works, from concept development to construction.

– Experience as both a client or developer, consultant or contractor would be an added advantage.

– Proficient and well experienced in Singapore’s form of contracts, SIA, PSSCOC, FIDIC, REDAS.

– Meticulous, organised and detail-oriented.

– Excellent people skills and the ability to work well with peers, subordinates, senior management and other stakeholders.

– Ability to articulate and provide presentations, reports and updates to management.

– Willing to travel overseas regularly and commit to short-term relocation.
