Diageo Indonesia can sustain quality growth by continuing to educate the large, emerging middle class on how to drink better by increasing penetration of formal alcohol and recruiting from mainstream beer into spirits, using the distinct advantage of our strong equity in Guinness and our locally produced international spirits that offer world renowned premium quality brands at more accessible price points.

This will be the largest Business unit within South East Asia and will entail managing our Partnerships successfully through clear strategic direction and strong influencing skills as well as shaping our end to end strategy in new markets and ensuring brilliant execution.

Purpose Of Role

The purpose of this role is centered on both today’s performance AND as importantly, on creating the conditions to deliver future value for the business. We are looking for a strategic operator who lives our Leadership Standard and possesses a proven capability to lead a commercial organisation and demonstrate a short, medium and long term performance focus.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver financial growth goals (NSV, Margin, OP, Cash, and Market Share) through rigorous management of performance
  • Continue to develop long term strategy as the environment changes and execute accordingly
  • Orientate the business to the customer and connect the customer needs to the business strategy
  • Continually unlock insights to pursue new consumers/occasions and channels
  • Actively manage and develop the Diageo reputation and brand with the goal of becoming a trusted and consulted partner on regulatory matters.
  • Lead a disruptive innovation and business development agenda

Qualifications And Experience Required

  • Demonstrate deep personal accountability for great performance
  • Exercise confidence in managing risk, volatility and ambiguity
  • Be obsessed with winning with Customers accompanied by a relentless focus on commercial execution
  • Be entrepreneurial (courageous and risk-taking) in facing the market and motivated to leverage the assets Diageo can bring to bear in meeting their objectives
  • 20+ years commercial experience
  • Experience in working in a developing market within Asia market is preferable
  • Deep experience of developing external reputation and proactive CR strategies to unlock market opportunities
