If any of these programmes are of interest to you, we currently have multiple vacancies for Junior Engineers across disciplines at our site in Christchurch.
As a Junior Engineer, you will be joining our dedicated engineering teams currently working across a variety of exciting programmes and projects being delivered across the MoD, Armed Forces and other BAE Systems Customers. These roles will provide you with the opportunity to keep developing in your discipline, giving you the chance to enhance your skills through practical training and qualifications as well as being supported to gain charterships and professional registrations.

Depending on you discipline and areas of interest, your main activities/responsibilities as a Junior Engineer could include:
- Requirements management
- Support the production of design specifications that meet the requirements
- Researching current vendors and technologies and identifying where they may be incorporated into our future solutions and services
- Procurement and supplier liaison
- System Integration, through life support and Test activities (functional and environmental)
- Liaise with team members to turn Hardware/Software design specifications into tangible supportable solutions
- Provide critical feedback to continually improve and maintain extant and development solutions
- Hardware assembly and installation

- The administration and integration of COTS Hardware/Software
- Virtualisation and Networking
- Cyber Security within IT environments
- Radio Frequency Engineering/Physics

- DOORS Requirements Management Tool
- Configuration management
- Technical documentation
- Python, Java or other scripting/coding languages
- 3D CAD Design
- Modelling and simulation
- Enterprise Architecting and MOOD
What We’re Looking For In You
You will have a passion for technology, innovation and experimentation with a positive attitude to problem solving and overcoming issues that may arise as well as driving improvements from lessons learned. You will also have excellent organisation and time management skills to help ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales. Embracing personal development and learning will also be key to success within this role.
Salary: £26,825 + Dependent on experience
