Our mobile engineering team is a large international group of highly talented developers who strive for quality and innovation. You’ll be working in an agile and test-driven development environment. Apart from developing new features, platforms and maintaining existing products, you also trial and evaluate new mobile technologies.

We are continuously looking to innovate our deliveries and transport platforms, which requires the help of top-notch Android and iOS engineers. Our production scale is massive. We process thousands of bookings a day and regularly see hundreds of millions of traffic data per month. When you push out new code millions of people will see what you made within seconds. Operating on this level is hard but deeply rewarding.

We are looking for a team player to win merchant loyalty by enabling them with easier and more reliable tools to serve their customers better and run their business more efficiently.

You will collaborate with other Grab businesses to build merchant-centric solutions that also help grow Grab’s business in SEA.

The Day-to-Day Activities

Take full ownership of projects that are built to meet functional and non-functional requirements of our users and business partners.
Design, implement, instrument and deploy highly performant and reusable Flutter components for operational excellence across initiatives
Lead Collaboration with stakeholders across teams and roles, to identify and resolve ambiguous, multi-dimensional business, legal, and product needs.
Work closely with the engineering team to explore and create new design/architecture geared towards scale and performance
Participate in interview loops to help Grab continue hiring top industry talent

The Must-Haves

A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or commensurate experience and education.
5+ years of professional software development experience including at least 2 years of either Android or iOS development experience
Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
Deep knowledge and expertise in either Android or iOS systems design and internals
Deep understanding of the CI/CD implementation
Possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills, able to think critically of the current system in terms of growth and stability
You can be a good coder in any language (C++, C, Java, Objective-C, Swift, Scala, Rust, Haskell, OCaml, Erlang, Python, Ruby, PHP, Node.JS, C#, etc.), but willing to work on Dart

The Nice-to-Haves

Has built a Flutter app
1+ years of experience in Flutter
Having knowledge of a clean architecture context is a big plus
