EVG is looking for a VP of Finance!

Everest Ventures Group (EVG) is a venture studio that focuses on the paradigm-shifting opportunities of digital assets and blockchain technologies backed by a consortium of renowned Asian conglomerates, family offices, and business leaders. We are a team of serial entrepreneurs, VCs, and financiers in their 20s & 30s, with venture partners and sister companies on both sides of the Pacific. Kikitrade, Aspen Digital, Vibra are the 3 incubated crypto projects under EVG.

We are looking for a dedicated VP of Finance who will be responsible for developing and directing the company’s analytical, financial plans and policies including overseeing accounting operations, gathering and analysing financial data and preparing financial reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial management include managing risk and investment strategies, alongside tracking the overall financial health of the company
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analysing results and prepare timely and accurate reports of financial data
  • Manage the Finance and Accounting teams to develop the financial strategy for the company
  • Oversee all sides of accounting operations, including AR, AP, payroll, and tax preparation
  • Process the financial activities of the organisation to maximise a company’s profits and plan for its growth
  • Ensure the company’s compliance with tax law and regulations specific to the industry

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in finance, accounting, business administration or relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant managerial experience, startup background preferred
  • In depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit, and tax compliance
  • Certifications such as CPA, CFA, and CMA are preferred
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)

This position is full-time and will be working in Hong Kong. Pay will be competitive and based on talent and experience.
