Starting Hourly Rate: $26.05

The Town of Belmont has an opening for a 19 hour per week Youth Coordinator position. The Youth Coordinator will collaborate with and receive guidance from the Youth Commission (“Commission”) for the development and maintenance of programs to promote better health and well-being among the Town’s youth. The Youth Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Director of the Health Department to achieve the goals of the Commission.

The Youth Coordinator schedules and attends Youth Commission monthly meetings, collaborates with the Commission, and prepares meeting materials. Responsibilities include the development of meaningful relationships with the Town’s youth, parents, and leaders, through regular meetings and events; planning and coordinating events, programs and activities; advertising scheduled events through various communication channels; fundraising and soliciting co-sponsors for events; collaborating with other applicable Town Departments; responding to general inquiries about the Commission; tracking and maintaining statistical data.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of human services, social work, psychology, nursing, education; or similar field of study plus one to two years of experience in a youth oriented position. This is a part time position that is not eligible for benefits. Starting wage is $26.054.
